Basketball has always been a part of Coach Don Zierden's life. Growing up in Minnesota, he played basketball in high school. In college, he also played and pursed his coaching dream. Career highlights:

• 1977-81 Attended and played basketball at Mt. Senario College, Wisconsin
• 1985 Minnesota Class A High School Coach of the Year while at De La Salle High School
• Lead De La Salle High School to 1985 Minnesota Class A Championship
• Assistant Coach, 3 years, University of Tulsa
• Assistant Coach, 4 years, La Crosse Catbirds
• Head Coach of CBA Pittsburg Piranhas
• One of only 3 rookie head coaches in CBA historyto lead their team to CBA Finals
• Head CBA Coach, 3 years of La Crosse Bobcats
• Assistant Coach of USA Basketball Team that took Gold Medal in Australia
• Assistant Coach, Minnesota Timberwolves, 5 years
• Assistant Coach, Detroit Pistons, 2 years
• Coach "Z" is married to Anne and has two kids, Isaiah and Rachel.
